How to view and post pictures

An application is available to post and browse the pictures of the school.

To view pictures

Go simply to the  CSC Gallery.

 

During the school, the CSC Photo gallery is running on the local CSC server. At the end oft he school the gallery will be uploaded to the CSC server at CERN and will remain available as long as CERN will remain in existence.

To post pictures

You will find below all the steps to post your pictures on the Gallery. Should you have any problems/doubt, don't hesitate to email or to directly contact Thomas Guerin

 

0	The pictures are stored in a  CSC Gallery. on the School Server.
1	When you access it, you can look at the pictures uploaded.
2	You can only load pictures from a computer connected to the CERN network, that is: either from one of the exercise computer or from your own  laptop when connected  the GUC wireless network
3	If you want to post your own pictures, you must login (using the link in the top right of page), with the same login and password you received when arriving at the school (if you changed this password to access the School Cluster, do not use your new password, but actually the one you received initially). In case of excessive delay, please contact Thomas  Guerin Thomas Guerin.
4	After logging in, you can add pictures to your album, as well as create sub-albums into your own albums (clicking on "Add Album"). Please make good use of albums (with meaningful names) so that the Gallery is kept organized.
6	After creating an album, you have access to a set of options on the left side of the page, namely "Add Items".
7	If you create your own albums, you can customize the permissions related to it (users that can change, etc. your album).

 

Note We rely on the common sense of the participants to only post appropriate pictures. In case you consider that an inappropriate picture of yourself has been posted, please contact directly the picture author.
