Laia Subirats is a final year student of M.Sc. Electrical Engineering at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. She has worked for a year in Telefónica I+D for the European project of the European Sixth Framework project ICING (Innovative Cities for the Next Generation) that deals with mobile networks, web services and Java programming. She also held a scholarship in Catalonia Supercomputing Center for the project voice over IP service in the Catalunya Neutral Internet Exchange and collaborated with the NeTS research group in Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
