Here are the simplified rules of the Badminton Tournament: Serving Server must hit the shuttlecock with a bottom-up move Server must stay behind the second black line Server may send the shuttlecock anywhere in the opposite court Women will always stay on the right hand side when serving  Men will always stay on the left hand side when serving Receiving service Receivers will stay beyond the middle black line As long as they are beyond the line, they can be anywhere (no particular position) They must not smash when receiving the service the first time Changing service Service will change in the order Ladie1, Ladi2, Men 1, Men2, .... Scoring To score a point, the shuttlecock has to hit the floor inside the court Net The shuttlecock can touch the net, however racket and player body can't Fairness and courtesy Men are recommended to behave as gentlemen with ladies
