Three of the 4 proposed
Outdoor Sport options proposed
for the Sports-Day the 18th of august will
take place in the Nybro
(Bagswaerd Lake and the Lyngby
Lake) and Hareskov area:
The Nybro and Hareskov area is
located 10 km North of the
H.C. Ørsted Institute Campus.
Two sites will host the three outdoor
sport activities:
The
NybroCanoeingCentre (called "Nybro
Kanoudlejning",
located at the junction
between two lakes: the
Bagswaerd Lake and the
Lyngby Lake.
The Hareskov
Forests
The distance between the two sites is
7 km.
The Bagswaerd
lake and the Lyngby lake
The Lyngby lake. The canoeing journey will
start by a crossing of the lake,
before continuing with on the
Mølleå River.
The Hareskov forests.
The suffix
skov means 'forest' or 'woods' in Danish
.
The name of Hareskov itself is
related to the prefix "Harre" meaning stone alter.
The forest is renowned for its natural
beauty and ease of access.
The forests are used as a centre of
recreation north of Copenhagen.
Mountain-biking, horse-riding, walks and
role-playing ('Dungeons and Dragons' or
'Viking' role playing) for adults and
children are popular.
The Bus will deposit the participants at the
Hareskov Station.
The hikers will walk on the forests hiking
trails.
The bikers will ride on the mountain biking
trails
