Wisla Carena studied physics at the University of Bologna, Italy, where she
obtained her Ph.D in High Energy Physics in 1977. She then joined CERN where
she has been working since 1978 in the data-acquisition field. She currently
works in the ALICE DAQ project and is responsible for the ALICE DAQ group.
