Sport at CSC2006

The Sport Programme proposed to the participants has been designed by Tapio Lampen with guidance from the School Director. Tapio is the coordinator of the programme at the school.

What are the objectives of the sport programme?

  • The participation to sport activities is fully voluntary (as is the participation  to other social activities)

  • The aim is to provide opportunities for refreshing activities in particular  before the final afternoon working sessions (as an alternative to the free study hours)

  • It also provides additional opportunities for interactions between students and lecturers / organizers

What, when and where?

  • Most of the activities will be proposed during afternoons in facilities close to the School Campus.

  • One special event (football match) will take place the second Wednesday afternoon, on a specially reserved football pitch.

Activities proposed during afternoons to facilities close to the campus

Week days at 14:00-15:30 (free time after lunch is 13:30-16:00, coffee is at 15:30, self-study hour is usually 14:30-15:30)

  • In-door activities at the  Sports Center (Liikuntakeskus) (free with CSC06 badge)

    • Certain afternoons, some activities will be proposed (e.g. Badminton tournament)

  • Swimming at a swimming pool (10 min. walk), open till Sunday 27.8., open 6:30-20:00 (except Wednesday 12:00-20:00 and Sunday 9:00-20:00) - free on Tuesday 22nd, otherwise entrance of 3 euros

Traditional CSC Football Match

CSC2003 match
CSC2004 match
CSC2005 match

Since 2003, it has become a tradition to organize a football match the second week of the school. The match traditionally involves all those willing, beginners and experienced, male and female, students and organizers, old and young, tall and short ... players.

In 2006, the match is taking place Wednesday 30 August. from 16:30 to 18:45

We will play football in the beautiful surroundings of the 1952 Olympic Games near the Olympic Stadium in T??l?. There are several pitches, and our game will be in the football pitch #7 ("T??l?n pallokentt? 7"). The address of the pitch is Urheilukatu 7. The football pitch is marked as "Hiekkatekonurmi" (artificial grass) in this map:
