I'm
in the first year of my PhD on Distributed Systems,
which I'm doing at CERN. The topic is reliability,
scalability and adaptability on data grids. I'm
working on the ARDA group, under the supervision of
Massimo Lamanna. My current work
consists on exploring the possibility of using
distributed databases as a back-end for Metadata
catalogs, as a way to improve scalability and
reliability.
I
am familiar both with Windows and Linux. Concerning
programming languagens, I have over 4 years of
experience with Java and over 1 year with C++. I
also know a little of Python. |
