Wireless

Beware: Sometimes before the start of the examination, the wireless access  will be cut.
It will be restored about 30 min after the end of the examination.

Beware: The Exercise Rooms will be closed this afternoon after 13:30, so as it can be prepared for the examination.

Therefore, no way to use the exercise computers between 13:30 and (possibly but this is not guaranteed) about19:00 (when examination is over).

Aatos Heikkinen and  Andrea Knue are organizing an after dinner outing in the Irish Club in G?ttingen.
Tonight, the Club has a Special Student Night with special student price. A lot of local students are expected.

Programme:

 ~21-30-22:00: Public bus to town (Andrea Knew as guide)
     Foresee coins for bus
     Exact departure time may depend on weather conditions
~22:00: Irish Pub
     Foresee 2/3 ? for drinks
~24:00: Return by taxis (shared)
     Foresee  2-3 ? for it

If you do not want to carry your heavy bag, you may ask a colleague returning to Mariaspring to take it,  or use the campus lockers.

After the BBQ, a bus will be available to return to Mariaspring for those not interested in a Music Bar in G?ttingen.

Badminton Tournament

Registration to the examination is now open.

The traditional CSC football match will take place Wednesday 26th of August late afternoon (18:00-19:45) on a grass football pitch next to the Sport Centre

The match involves all those willing, beginners and experienced, male and female, students and organizers, old and young, tall and short ... players. Frequent rotations are aimed at, then a maximum of players is expected.
Do not hesitate, this is for fun.

David Horat is organizing next week two extra tournaments:

• a Tennis Tournament next Wednesday afternoon (free time)

• a Table Soccer Tournament

Badminton Tournament

A Mixed-Double Badminton Tournament is organized Tuesday 2nd at 14:00.

Teams will be drawn from a hat the Monday 24th at 10:45 in the lecture room.

We strongly advise participants to fill it out as they go along (e.g. after each series of lectures or exercises), and to not wait the last minute.
I particular, the questionnaire contains questions regarding appraisal of early classes, the memory of which may have blurred by the end of the school.

We have got a funny question from  some:
 "I have chosen Hiking ..." or "I have chosen Aquatic Centre but I am not proposed other choices: Why".
Answer: This is because Hiking or Aquatic Centre have no limit. Therefore , your choice is automatically satisfied and there is no point for you to provide an alternative.

Wireless at Mariaspring

Wireless is available in all common areas (though signal level is low in the dining room). It is also available in most sleeping rooms (however, in rooms 20 to 28, signal is very low).
To connect, select the wireless network with the strongest signal from one of the following networks:
  - Mariaspring-GuestNet
  - Atbau
  - default

The other names that you may see correspond to external network.

Welcome reception

You are all invited  to a Welcome Reception and Dinner, Monday17th of August which will take place in the Hardenberg (a few kilometers from Mariaspring).

Tow buses will depart from the Georg-August University at 19:15 sharp.

Return to Mariaspring is planned at about 23:00.

Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony will take place the 17th of August at 08:45 in the Pauliner Kirche, G?ttingen.
It will be followed by a coffee break, and by the 1st lecture to take place at 11:30.

After the 1st lecture, a buffet lunch will be served in a nearby room in the Pauliner  Kirche building.

After the lunch, busses will bring participants to the Georg-August University campus where the programme will resume at 14:30 in the lecture amphitheatre (Lecture Hall 4 - HS4)

Overall schedule of the 1st half-day 17th of August.

Registration

Registration to the school will take place at the Mariaspring guest house Sunday 16th from 14:00 to 19:30.
However, if your flight is delayed and you informed Fabienne Baud-Lavigne or Lucie Hamdi, information will be left for you at the hotel counter.

A shuttle service will be organized the Sunday 16 August from  the G?ttingen Station to the Mariaspring guest House from 14:00 to 19:15.
Meeting point: Information point near the Deutsche Bahn service point. Look  for a CSC panel.
Note that the shuttle will not operate on a fixe-schedule basis, but will leave when enough participants have arrived.

• In case you plan to arrive at the train station later than 19:15, please confirm your late arrival to Fabienne. You will then receive special instructions.

• If you planned to arrive at the train station before 19:15, but it turns out that your flight is delayed, please call Fabienne Baud-Lavigne (+ 41 76 487 39 81) or Lucie Hamdi (+ 49 173 293 7 208) when arriving
